“
A small boy explains how he wakes up in a bad mood and nothing goes right for him all day long. The toothpaste tastes awful. He has to wear a yucky shirt. At school, all his blocks fall down. His words are simple ("My soup was too hot and my pudding wasn't chocolate" ), and his tone of voice expresses his raw, vulnerable mood. The pictures show exaggerated body language and facial expressions with a big turned-down mouth and droopy eyes. Kids will laugh at the common misfortune; they'll sympathize with the irritation and draw comfort from the ending when things begin to change.
