In November I kept busy being the guest blogger on the Got Story symposium organized by Joy Chu, art director, graphic designer, and teacher of children’s book illustration at USC at San Diego. The blog where all this took place is http://www.gotstorycountdown.com
It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re an illustrator, author, parent, teacher, librarian, editor, art director, or anyone who works with picture books for children, or dreams of doing so.
When Joy invited me to be her guest she told me she was interested in my multiple roles, author of books I illustrate, and author of books others illustrate. She invited a number of illustrators I’ve worked with for their take on working with me. Each gave an intriguing and enlightening answer to the way he or she approaches a project, and how each interpreted my storytelling.
